$20,000 Rebates for Energy Saving Measures
The Solar and Wind Rebate Program offers a rebate of $2,000 per kilowatt-AC (kW-AC) to customers who install photovolaic (PV) systems or wind-energy systems. The rebate is limited to $6,000 for residential systems and $20,000 for commercial systems. The minimum system capacity is 1 kW; the maximum system capacity is 10 kW. Up to $750 for Energy Saving Appliances
Questar Gas provides rebates for energy efficient appliances and solar assisted gas water heating systems through their ThermWise program. To qualify, the appliances must run on gas and must meet the minimum efficiency levels stated on their website. $2,000 Tax Credits for Residential Energy Systems
The Utah State Energy Program administers an individual income tax credit and has responsibility for revising the tax credit rules and certifying systems as eligible for the credit.  The individual income tax credit for residential systems is 25% of the reasonable installed system costs up to a maximum credit of $2,000 per residential unit. The residential credit is nonrefundable, but unused credit may be carried over up to four years. A non-business entity that leases a residential system is eligible for the credit and may use the credit for no more than seven years from the initiation of the lease.  Eligible residential systems include active and passive solar thermal systems; solar electric systems; wind turbines; hydro (water) energy; geothermal heat pumps; direct-use geothermal; and biomass. Up to $300 for a New Air Conditioner
Rocky Mountain Power offers residential customers a rebate for the purchase and installation of qualifying high-efficiency evaporative cooling systems and properly sized central air conditioners. Additional incentives are available for premium, whole-house ducted systems. To qualify, customers must first purchase and install one or more eligible measures, and then send a completed incentive application to Rocky Mountain Power. $350 for Builders to Build Energy Efficient Homes
The Rocky Mountain Power ENERGY STAR New Homes program offers cash incentives to contractors who build energy-efficient homes. To qualify for this incentive, the new home must meet the basic ENERGY STAR specifications and have low-e windows. Contractors building qualified homes can earn rebates worth $350 per single-family home, or $250 per unit for multi-family homes. Rocky Mountain Power provides incentives for its residential customers to increase the energy efficiency of their homes through their Home Energy Savings Program. Rebates are available through this program for ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, water heaters, air conditioners, heat pumps, compact fluorescent fixtures and windows. Rebates are also provided for energy saving measures such as duct sealing, HVAC tune-ups and increased insulation levels. Some restrictions apply. Up to $6,000 to Install Solar Panels
Rocky Mountain Power provides a financial incentive for their customers to install photovoltaics. Through December 31, 2011, rebates of $2.00 per watt (AC) are available to all customer classes. The program is limited to a total of 107 kW per program year, and rebates are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the annual limit has been reached. Eligible systems must be net-metered, and the statewide maximum system size for net-metered systems is 25 kW.  Residential systems will only be rewarded with a rebate up to $6,000 (3 kW) and commercial rebates are limited to $30,000 (15 kW).
