Up to $1500 in Rebates for Water Heaters and Heat Pumps Black Hills Power Customer Rebate Program offers cash rebates to residential BHP customers for the purchase of electric water heaters, new generation electric and geothermal heat pumps, and geothermal heating and cooling systems. All forms of permanently installed electric resistance heat installed in conjunction with a Residential Demand Controller or other energy management device qualifies for a rebate in conjunction with the Demand Controller Program. Incentives amounts: electric water heater - $1.00 rebate per tank gallon; heat pumps - $150 rebate per ton; electric heat - $15/kW. Maximum incentives are: air source heat pump - $600 max. rebate; geothermal heat pump - $1500 max. rebate and electric heat - $500 max. rebate. Cash Rebates for Installation of Demand Controllers Demand controllers level out the peaks and valleys in your electric usage and they also qualify you for special low BHP rates. Customers can receive free installation or a cash rebate when purchasing a demand controller from BHP. Existing Home: Free Installation up to $300 value. New Home Installation: $200 Cash Rebate - Unit must be newly installed by a certified electrician and the unit must be programmed and inspected by a BHP technician. Utility Rebates Program for Water Heaters and Heat Pumps Carbon Power and Light, in collaboration with Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, offers financial incentives for its members to increase the energy efficiency of their homes and facilities. Incentive amounts are: water heater $1.50 per gallon - $3.00 per gallon or $50 depending on type of water heater; air-source heat pump $125 per ton - $150 per ton; ground or water-source heat pump $150 per ton; motors - $6/HP to $10/HP, varies by type and efficiency. CP&L members can also take advantage of rebates offered by Tri-State G&T for a variety of electric heat products and electric motors. Grants up to $3000 to Install Photovoltaic and PV Hybrid Systems Wyoming's Photovoltaic Incentive Program offers grants of $3,000 or 50%, whichever is less, to residents who install photovoltaic or photovoltaic hybrid systems on their homes. Both grid-connected and off-grid systems are eligible. Program requirements include an application, a copy of the equipment invoice, pictures of the installation, and quarterly reports on the system during the first year of operation. Please note this program has an open application period from the first to the third Monday of June each year for up to 25 rebates (based on funding projections). If funding remains after this period, subsequent applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
